RVING TIPS FOR BEGINNERS
First camping/trip in your own RV will be a dream come true moment. It is a learning experience which moulds you to be better prepared for the next camp. Here are a few tips to help you to make your first trip the best trip.
1. STAY CLOSE TO HOME
However, we recommend staying relatively close to home for your first outing. On your first trip, you will probably forget something at home. Whether you forgot to bring the food, the charging cable for your phone or any other necessities, it is much easier to find a replacement when you are close to your home rather than in a remote or unfamiliar area. Try to keep a list of everything you need for your first trip and pack accordingly. Then re-check your list before you leave the home.
2. MAKE SURE YOUR RV IS IN A GOOD CONDITION
Always make sure that your RV is in good condition before hitting the road. You should check all brake lights, brakes, generator and appliances on your RV before leaving home to avoid surprise crash in the road. Also, clean your RV prior to camping. Also, keep in mind the RV repair tips to use in case of an emergency.
3. CHECK THE CAMPGROUND RULES
Never forget to check the campground rules and regulations while planning your trip and making reservations. Information like vehicle size restrictions, pet policies, quiet time hours, and more which are available on the campground’s website should be carefully studied before reserving. Don’t be shy to make a call to the campground and rectify your doubts.
4. RESERVE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
During peak camping months, campgrounds can often book up very early. i.e., up as early as six months prior. Plan your camping adventures in advance. Once you fix the destination, reserve your preferred campsite as soon as possible or else your first trip will be the worst one.
