INEVITABLE PARTS FOR YOUR NEW RV

Hurray! You have bought a new RV!! But before you start the trip, make sure that you have a few parts which are essential for RV. Let us directly move on to those inevitable parts of an RV.

  1. WATER HOSE

Clean drinking water is a basic necessity of a human being. But getting this during your trip is not that cool. A water hose is a must to fill RV’s fresh water tank. They have standard fittings and should be free from lead, BPA, and phthalates. Always try to pick a hose made from polyurethane as rubber or vinyl hoses can alter the taste of the water.

2. LEVELER

A leveler is used in an uneven RV ground to extra stress on the RV frame and chassis. If not used, it causes many problems in your appliances, door frames, windows, slide-outs, and more. Therefore, levelers are essential. Although new model RVs have self-leveling systems but should be annually inspected to ensure their proper functioning. Levelers can withstand a tremendous amount of weight and are lightweight and easy to set up. Level your RV from side to side and then front to back.

3. SURGE PROTECTORS

Surge protectors are implemented to prevent your RV’s electronic components from being damaged in case of a power surge. Power surges caused by brownouts affect the electrical grid, lightning strikes, or faulty wiring at the hookup. Check your RV owner’s manual and choose the surge protector (30 AMP/ 50 AMP) accordingly.

4. WATER PRESSURE REGULATOR

The water pressure regulator helps to protect your RV’s appliances, plumbing fixtures, and hoses from high-pressure water. It checks the water pressure and keeps it within a safe range of 40-50 psi. These are connected to the faucet at the water source with ¾-inch garden hose threads. Unregulated high pressure can put too much stress on your RV’s pipes and cause leaks.
